For Health Care Providers

Aurora Health Access (AHA) deeply respects the special skills and gifts that health care providers contribute to our community. We appreciate the years of effort they have made to develop a quality health care system in Aurora and the crucial health services they provide. We know many providers in the community share the concerns with AHA around the current health care system in Aurora, and we agree that it is not meeting the needs of individuals and families that live in the city.

One of the explicit aspirations of AHA is to work with health care providers to identify and eliminate barriers that prevent providers from sharing their gifts and skills with those Aurora residents that currently lack access to effective and affordable medical care.

Aurora Health Access has established four active workgroups. Health care providers serve on each of these workgroups. AHA can always use more help. Please take a few moments to learn more about each of the work groups by following the links below. If you would like to be part of one of these workgroups contact Joe Campe, AHA Project Manager via email or phone at 720-987-9570.

The four active workgroups of Aurora Health Access are:
I. Promote a Culture of Health and Wellness in Aurora
II. Promote a Culture of Care
III. Improve Access and Care Coordination
IV. Support Health Information Exchange

We want to learn from you

Aurora Health Access is organizing a series of health care provider focus groups to learn more about the barriers — and ideas to reduce these barriers — that make it difficult for providers to provide medical care to Aurora residents who currently lack access. The focus group conversations will inform the work of AHA and offer providers an opportunity to learn from one another.

The series of focus groups will culminate in joint discussions between providers and consumers to further understand the challenges we face as a community and generate ideas to deal with these issues.

We encourage health care providers who would like to be part of these conversations to contact our Project Manager, Joe Campe via email or phone at 720-987-9570. Check back on this page in the future to find a calendar of the focus group conversations and reports about what we learn.
